Final Fantasy Unable To Complete Version Check
I got Final Fantasy XIV online beta and whenever i try to launch it a error comes up saying '11014 Version check failed. 2:20447, 404' i tried launching it. If a single hand lasts more than 80 minutes, the following hand will be the last one played. Once that hand ends, the game ends, final placements are decided, and the results are recorded. Matches will end automatically after 120 minutes have passed, regardless of whether a hand is still being played. In this event, ratings and ranks are not affected.
Okay this fix is NOT for the weak of heart but it did fix the problem for me. DO NOT TRY THIS if you aren't sure what I'm talking about or what I'm doing here. This is NOT a quick fix. This is very much the definition of a LONG fix. This is a 'I'm desperate' fix.
This is a POWER USER solution, not an everyday user solution. This is a Mac OS X client fix. Not a Windows or PS4 client fix, sorry guys.
Do not use this solution if you are pregnant or may become pregnant. Do not use this solution if your arm smells like your mother. Do not use this solution standing on your head.

So you looked up Free and public dnsand changed my to the SAFEDNS. Rebooted ps4 and got into the game.Worth a shot to keep trying different ones if you really want in.Method 2:1. Using the unix command line under Mac OS X, under the //Users//Library/Application Support/ folder and did a 'sudo rm -rf 'FINAL FANTASY XIV' '3. Reinstalled the game from the original.dmg file4. Login worked normally.My best guess is that there is something in the preferences files the came caches under the application support folder that says where the launcher gets it's patch data from and it's pointed to the wrong place. Perhaps a URL that DNS hasn't updated. Perhaps a cache purge of some kind might fix this? Don't know, but this worked for me. Frankly, your ISP won't solve the problem either.
After getting in touch with upper tier support the last time i had this problem and having my path changed by them, It didn't result in much change.It's Square Enix's ridiculous servers and the paths that have to be taken to get to them. It should be their job to fix this problem, not ours.
